Summary:
Will be responsible for the collecting and processing of specimens from patients. Follows quality assurance and safety policies and procedures. Assists with patient flow as needed.
Responsibilities include:
- Performs phlebotomy and collects appropriate specimens from patients as ordered. Assures pre-authorizations and completes appropriate consent (ABN) prior to collection of limited coverage tests.
- Maintains proper documentation as described by the quality assurance program including accessioning logs, equipment records and checklists.
- Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and ensures that all supplies are viable before using for patient collection.
- Sends specimens to reference laboratories for any testing not performed in house.
- Processes incoming orders for lab testings.
- Processes in-house and in-coming reports.
- Updates and files all daily paperwork, lab logs and maintenance logs.
- Properly identifies and bends patients for blood product transfusion. Processed properly labeled specimens according to local blood bank policy
Qualifications:
- Must have a minimum of 5 years previous experience.
- High school or equivalent is recommended.
- Candidates who also have had previous experience as a Medical Assistant will be considered; must have at least 3 years phlebotomy experience
- Licensure from an accredited school of phlebotomy is recommended.
Human Resources Generalist II

Job Summary:
Under general supervision, manages the recruiting process, including but not limited to candidate advertising, sourcing, interviews, candidate selection and offer process. Provides Human Resources generalist support to management staff and employees on HR related issues and priorities. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards and Shared Values.
Responsibilities:
- Reviews and discusses approved Personnel Requisitions and job description with hiring manager to determine the jobs specific requirements, interview team, discuss timeline, potential compensation, etc. Continually updates the requisition log. Ensures compliance with federal and state recruiting regulations.
- Identifies applicant sources, prepares job posting materials, and drafts advertisements. Sources resumes and screens against minimum qualifications. May telephone screen qualified applicants for applicants for knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or salary requirements.
- Forwards and discusses qualified applicant resumes with hiring manager in order to determine applicants to be interviewed.
- Schedules candidate interviews with hiring manager and interview with hiring manager in order to determine applicants to be interviewed.
- Schedule candidate interviews with hiring manager and interview team. Provides guidance on appropriate and non-appropriate questions, provides sample interview questions, and may arrange for mock interview to build managers interview skills.
- Conducts post-interview feedback sessions or obtains candidate assessment form interview team. May summarize feedback for hiring manager. Consults with hiring manager on candidate selection and compensation package. Performs reference checks.
- Extends verbal offer job offer to selected candidate. Coordinates the offer package preparation; obtains the appropriate approvals.
- Upon written acceptance and completed forms, initiates background investigations and license verification as required. Investigates and resolves background/employment related issues. Escalates issues that conflict with hiring practices.
Responsibilities:
- Provides consultation on human resources management issue to include: staffing, employee relations; sexual harassment; performance management; dispute resolution; compliance and integrity; policy administration; and disseminating and providing guidance on company policies and procedures in compliance with applicable state and federal laws.
- Investigates employee relations issues; identifies issues, facts, policy violations, and other culture/values that impact the workplace; and recommends solutions and how to obtain resolution.
- Assists management with writing effective and accurate job descriptions, requisition process and approval eCOS, salary administration, etc.
- Conducts exit interviews and summarizes findings.
- Administers Leave of Absences in accordance with current regulations, policies and procedures
- Advises management on appropriate business solutions to salary expenditures and various compensation issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS/BA in Human Resources, Business, or related field and at least 3 years Generalist experience required.
- Solid knowledge of employment law, policies, and practices as well as benefits, leave of absences, compensation principles, and recruiting practices.
Patient Account Specialist Lead

Summary:
Will be responsible for account follow up for all assigned accounts, resolving billing problems and answering patient inquires. Sets up financial arrangements as needed. Uses collection techniques to keep accounts receivable current including monitoring for delinquent payments.
Responsibilities:
- Performs audits of patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
- Reviews account agings on a monthly basis and reports inconsistencies and correcting errors as appropriate.
- Contacts patients regarding delinquent accounts and arranges mutually acceptable payments schedules.
- Follows up on insurance billing to ensure timely receipt of payments.
- Receives and resolves patient billing complaints and questions; initiates adjustments as necessary.
- Follows up on all zero payment explanations of benefits and exercises all options to obtain claim payments.
- Serves as a resource for other patient account follow up specialists regarding issues with patient accounts.
- Reviews and processes adjustments and refund requests. Assists with review of financial disclosures and negotiated agreement adjustments.
- Reviews appropriate files to identify deceased patients and estates
- Makes the appropriate financial arrangements for payment of patient accounts; follows up to determine if correspondence or telephone calls from patients about accounts.
- Ensures the review of EOBs to ensure proper reimbursement of claims and reports any problems, issues, or payor trends.
- Maintains payor profiles
- Works closely with collection agency to assure that they receive updated information on accounts as necessary.
- Prepares and submits write-off requests with appropriate documentation.
- Processes insurance/patient correspondence, including denial follow-up. Maintain reimbursement correspondence and filing systems.
- Works with provided aging to monitor patient account agings and follow up appropriately.
- May assist with daily and monthly business office functions, including reporting, file maintenance and special projects.
- Provides guidance and daily work direction to business office staff.
- Reviews credit balance reports for correct recipient of refund
Qualifications:
- High School graduate or Associate’s Degree.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years recent work experience in a medical business office setting with insurance processing and balancing responsibilities.
- Must be able to meet deadlines and be a team player.
- Experience as a lead or supervisor is preferred but not required.

Job Requirements:
- Must have a BSN
- Must have up to 3 - 5 years experience;
- Oncology experience is required.
- Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment center is preferred;
- Must have a current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing.
- Current BCLS certification.
